Catalog description
This course introduces undergraduate students to legal education, the life of lawyers, and the legal profession. Through a combination of assigned reading, guest lectures, and local site visits to courts, law firms, and businesses, this course exposes students to the basics of how our legal system and profession works, why law matters, how one becomes a lawyer, and career pathways and realities for lawyers. This course is designed for students who are contemplating attending law school, and who wish to learn more about law as a profession before committing themselves to that path.
