Catalog description

Grand Rounds is a lecture/discussion format of physical therapy patient problems designed to examine the six elements of patient/client management in physical therapy. The presenter is an expert in the treatment of the case they are presenting. Students will listen to and interact with a clinical physical therapist or other health care providers as they address the elements of appropriate patient/client management. In small groups, the students will present a case and examine a case specific topic. The process will include a review of the literature by utilizing the CAT (critically appraised topic) process. The CAT process includes a standardized, one-page summary of the research evidence organized around the clinical scenario. The CAT is utilize to form a clinical conclusion of the clinical question.
