Clinical Education II

Catalog description
Clinical Education II is the second of four full-time clinical education experiences. It is 8 weeks in length. Each student is assigned a site Clinical Instructor who is responsible for the direct supervision of the student during the clinical education experience. Students are expected to apply academic knowledge and clinical skills to develop problem solving strategies to treat patients. Students are required to demonstrate professional behavior and complete patient evaluations that include: examination, developing a plan of care, discharge planning, interventions, patient/ family education, and participating in interprofessional care. Additional learning experiences, such as, presenting clinical in-service education, facilitating clinical projects, and creating professional development plans, may be required.
