Catalog description

This course addresses components of ergonomic and environmental assessment and intervention as it relates to management of health conditions commonly encountered in physical therapy practice. Emphasis will be placed on the effect of workplace and environmental variables that can be a causal or influential factor in the disablement process. The role of physical therapy examination and intervention of ergonomic and environmental characteristics of health and disablement will be discussed in the context of the elements of patient management as described in the APTA Guide to Physical Therapy Practice.
