Catalog description
This 3 credit independent course, completed during the clinical year, is designed to prepare students for entry level practice as a Physician Assistant through supervised clinical experiences and structured PANCE preparation. Under the guidance of a faculty supervisor, students develop and complete an individualized course of study that integrates advanced clinical training with continued professional development. Clinical experiences may include patient care in inpatient and outpatient settings, as well as exposure to surgical and emergency care environments. Rotations may encompass family medicine, internal medicine, behavioral health, general surgery, emergency medicine, internal medicine subspecialties, women?s health, and pediatrics. Prerequisites: Endorsement of the supervising faculty member and approval of the Department Chairperson.
