Catalog description

This case based course will provide the basics of diagnostic test interpretation, radiographic imaging, and other diagnostics commonly used in clinical medicine. Sample cases will be utilized to emphasize the selection and interpretation of diagnostic tests. A step-by-step approach will assist in evaluating each patient problem to determine the required treatment and testing needed for each specific case. This approach will allow each individual to develop the differential diagnosis, decide the appropriate tests to order, discuss the patient preparation needed for each test, and explain indications and contraindications for the most commonly used tests.
