Applied Clinical Methods II

Catalog description

Students gain a cognitive understanding of indications and contraindications of common medical procedures. Instruction on relevant anatomic landmarks and safe technical performance of medical procedures are emphasized. A module dedicated to performing EKG and correctly interpreting them is included. Appropriate documentation of medical procedures is emphasized. Students are evaluated on their performance of skills via direct observation by course faculty and on their acqusition of knowledge via written examinations. Students must also register for PHYA 411L.
