Catalog description
Examines the pathophysiology of coronary artery disease. Risk factors are described in detail, along with an exercise allowing the participant to assess his/her own cardiac risk. Evidence supporting the value of dietary and lifestyle modifications in reducing cardiac events is presented. Dietary composition (i.e. recommended percentages of fat, protein and carbohydrate in the diet) is described. Evidence supporting the value of various lipid-lowering medications is examined. Program implementation for pharmacies, including marketing strategies will be presented.
