Advanced Acute Care Clinical Skills I

Catalog description

This course is one of two courses designed to provide the student with a concentration in Acute Care Pharmacy Practice. The focus of this course is to address the role of the pharmacist in health care systems. The major topics covered in this course include medication safety, drug distribution systems, medical informatics, automation, critical care therapeutics, clinical pharmacokinetic monitoring, and selected advanced therapeutic topics. PHPR 493 is a prerequisite for PHPR 494.
