Catalog description

This course is designed to enhance the students? abilities to understand, develop, and describe successful and sustainable ambulatory pharmacist care models. Students will be expected to become proficient in discussing established value-based care models and how these models can be applied to ambulatory pharmacy practice nationwide. Students also will read and discuss literature pertaining to pertinent research and review articles and the impact of ambulatory pharmacist care models. Application of these models as well as the ever-changing evaluation of the quality of care provided and the impact on outcomes will occur via model development exercises. The course will focus on successful ambulatory care models where the pharmacist can have the greatest impact.
