Catalog description

How to accommodate the seemingly conflicting notions of unity and diversity is a core problem in contemporary social and political thought. To approach this issue, this seminar critically engages the work of John Rawls, Jaques Derrida, Judith Butler, Giorgio Agamben, Alain Badiou, Jacques Rancière and related political thinkers. It is strongly recommended that any students enrolling in this class have completed at least two Philosophy courses before it begins.
