Catalog description
This course engages Immanuel Kant?s Critique of Judgment (1790), one of the touchstone works in philosophical aesthetics. Beyond its intervention in philosophy of art, this work engages the practice of explaining things through their ends or purposes and provides a synoptic account of the whole of Kant?s philosophical system. It is strongly recommended that any students enrolling in this class have completed at least two Philosophy courses before it begins.
