This course will focus on a careful reading of Husserl's Ideas, where we will read the majority of this text closely, concentrating on Husserl's methodology, goals, assumptions, and philosophical accomplishments, and discussing both the philosophical background to this text and the influence Husserl had on subsequent philosophers.
