Catalog description

This course examines attempts to understand what kinds of things there are in the world through the question of Being and related concepts of existence, thing, property, event, matter, mind, space, time, and causality. The course will also examine critiques of classical metaphysics in the modern and postmodern thought, as well as attempts at post-metaphysical thinking.
