Advanced Pharmacy Practice Experience VI

Catalog description

This series of courses provides the student with the opportunity to develop practice skills in a variety of practice settings. In addition to participation in required acute care, advanced hospital, ambulatory, and advanced community practice experiences, the student will have the opportunity to select three elective practice experiences in the setting of his/her choice. These five-week courses will afford the student the opportunity to collaborate with other health care practitioners to optimize drug therapy, provide medication therapy management services, address patient safety issues, participate in systems management, and promote public health and wellness. The student will work in conjunction with the site preceptor to develop projects that are specific to the scope of the practice setting.
