Continuous Professional Development VIII is the last in a series of courses that address professional development, career exploration, and self-directed learning. CPD VIII focuses on in-depth examination of the elements of professionalism and its challenges; discussion of the application of management principles to authentic practice settings; discernment of appropriate career options; preparation for the pharmacist licensure exam; and self-reflection on learning progress toward mastery of the competencies. Similar to experiential education, CPD VIII is heavily based on authentic practice experiences.
