Pharmaceutics Principles Recitation

Catalog description

This recitation and laboratory-based course will prepare student pharmacists for all aspects of sterile product compounding. Recitation will focus on adding depth from theoretical principles of pharmaceutics, calculations, clean room theory, aseptic technique, product compatibility and the safe handling of hazardous agents to the preparation of sterile products. Laboratory will focus on compounding sterile products: performing calculations, compounding techniques, aseptic technique, product preparation and analysis, as well as professional communications, including drug information.
