Catalog description
This recitation and laboratory based course will prepare student pharmacists for all aspects of extemporaneous prescription compounding. Recitation will focus on bridging theoretical principles of pharmaceutics, calculations, analytical chemistry, regulatory affairs and law to patient-specific (human and veterinary) compounding of drug products. Laboratory will focus on students applying and perfecting calculations, compounding techniques, product analysis, and professional communication skills.
