Catalog description

At the completion of this integrated course, the student should be proficient in the application of pharmacotherapy to endocrine-based disorders associated with diabetes, adrenal hormones, and thyroid. Furthermore, students should be able to utilize knowledge of pharmacology, medicinal chemistry, and pharmaceutics principles to improve patient outcomes for these disease states. Each learning outcome will be assessed using an assessment strategy appropriate to the level of learning. Teaching and learning methods will involve self-assessment of knowledge, active learning, case studies, and simulations to foster active, lifelong learning.
