PHBM 436 ? Biomedical Sciences and Therapeutics: Respiratory, Dermatologic and Ophthalmic Disorders (BMST: Respiratory, Derm & Ophth Dis) At the completion of this course, the student should be proficient in the application of pharmacotherapy of respiratory, dermatologic and ophthalmic disorders and utilize knowledge of pharmacology, medicinal chemistry, and pharmaceutics principles to evaluate treatment and improve patient outcomes with these diseases. Each learning outcome will be assessed using an assessment strategy appropriate to the level of learning. Teaching and learning methods will involve self-assessment of knowledge, active learning, case studies, and simulations to foster active, life-long learning. PHBM 436 is a prerequisite for PHPR 443, PHBM 443, and PHBM 444.
