Catalog description
Through lecture, guided-discovery, and case-based learning formats, this course is designed to promote and evaluate the understanding of medical terminology in students who have previous medical training. Basic and applied medical terminology, abbreviations, and the terminology associated with common conditions of the cardiorespiratory, endocrine, digestive, musculoskeletal, urinary, male and female reproductive, and integumentary systems are presented. Students also are exposed to the terminology associated with neonatology, as well as hearing and sight. Pre-Requisite: PBPM 501
