Catalog description

This course introduces students to the application of economic tools to the interaction among the many stakeholders in the health care system and the public health system. Students will explore the impact of health care, health insurance and preventative services on health lifestyles in the US and globally. Cost analysis, economic evaluation, decision-making, regulatory impact and health impact outcomes will be discussed. Methods of effective and equitable allocation of health resources will be investigated.
