Composition I

Catalog description

An introduction to the art of composition that focuses on the fundamentals: melody, harmonic content, rhythm, and compositional forms. Students will begin development of individual composition portfolios and are encouraged to have their works performed at a student composition recital held during the semester. Offered in a class format.
