Catalog description

Motivational interviewing is a collection of verbal interventions and techniques that assist clients in moving forward from pre-contemplative stages of change. When coupled with music therapy, motivational interviewing can be a potent method for patients to discover and activate agency for change. This course will explore how such an integration can take place within a music therapist?s scope of practice and the advanced competencies.
