Catalog description
As the healthcare ecosystem in the United States evolves, so must music therapists in order to remain positioned to provide best practices for clients. Contemporary trends in healthcare across diverse treatment settings will be explored and discussed in context of music therapy services. Students will learn how music therapists can position themselves to be core and primary contributors to their organizations and communities, and how to mindfully construct and cultivate avenues for career advancement. These areas of growth and maturation will be critically examined in context of AMTA?s Code of Ethics.
