Health is similarly shaped by culturally transmitted values that determine how individuals perceive their well-being. Students will explore how cultural constructions of music and health develop, including how culturally embedded values about music and health are transmitted across generations. Central to this course will be students? self-examination of their multi-layered cultural identities as an essential exercise for understanding their clients? as similarly cultural beings.
