Catalog description

For clinicians, the primary function of research is to inform practice through application of theory and best practices in clinical decision-making. Via critical examinations of interpretivist, objectivist, and mixed methods research, students will examine how researchers make meaning and define truth; how to determine clinical significance; and how to situate, adapt, and apply findings to their respective clinical practices. The role of the clinician as an important stakeholder in research will be emphasized throughout the course.
