Catalog description

The purpose of this class is to provide a firm foundation in musical rudiments, and to introduce topics crucial to the success in many musical career paths. Rudiments include spelling of pitches on the staff, rhythmic notation, time signatures, key signatures, scales, intervals, triads and seventh chords. We learn these skills through study of music ranging from the eighteenth century to today.
