Catalog description

Designed for Undergraduate Piano Major students in their fourth year of studies (Seniors) and Graduate Piano Majors enrolled full-time in Master of Music and/or Artist Diploma degrees, this course aims to develop comprehensive ensemble skills and to allow students acquire a thorough understanding of the collaborative process when sharing one instrument or playing works for two pianos. This course is also approved for undergraduate piano major students in their third year of studies (Juniors), with approval by the Keyboard Area Coordinator and by their applied piano instructor(s). In addition, the course can be taken by students minoring in music with the approval of the Keyboard Area Coordinator and their respective academic advisors. Based on enrollment, it can be taken as a group class or as private lessons for pairs of students.
