Catalog description

Popular Music Pedagogy prepares future music educators to include popular/contemporary music into general music instruction. Principles of informal music learning, modern band, and vernacular musicianship will be included through various activities. Students will also apply knowledge of course topics by playing and learning new ways to teach guitar, bass, keyboard, and/or drum kit.
