Eurhythmics for Music Educators

Catalog description

The aim of this course is to facilitate music education majors to discover, develop, and refine all the capacities used when engaging in music through Dalcroze Eurhythmics. A focus on Dalcroze strategies will guide each lesson. Specific topics include lessons in Follow, quick reaction, isolation, and time, space, energy for students of all ages. Rhythmic movement, rhythmic solfege and improvisation will be components of each class and all areas of music theory and expression will be included as the music directs.
