Voice for Music Education II

Catalog description

Voice for Music Education II (VME II) is the second course of a two-semester sequence designed to continue individual student vocal development and teaching vocal music in the K-12 school system. Musicianship skills form the foundation for more advanced solo and multiple-part singing, including work on intonation and piano coordination skills. The repertoire will include a variety of styles, tonalities and genres as well as an understanding of professional voice classifications and vocal forms. Students will be explore philosophical, administrative, and instructional considerations for school music programs and K-12 pedagogy.
