Catalog description
This course assists students in becoming effective leaders and followers in their professional roles by enhancing understanding of communication processes in organizations. Students have the chance to explore what the field of organizational communication can offer to leaders engaged in praxis, or theory-informed action, which in this context means understanding the principles that guide leader's action in coordinating people engaged in organizational life. Topics include approaches to organizational communication, including classical and subsequent developments, organizational socialization, decision making, conflict, and technology.
