Catalog description

Study of the main texts and ideas of 17th and 18th century French Philosophy. Beginning with Descartes? famous methodological break with scholasticism, students will retrace the development what is commonly known as ?modern? philosophy and also examine the ways in which some of the most important figures in 20th century continental philosophy reacted to these foundational works.
