Catalog description
In MLFR 304, students will study the history of Franco-American relations from the U.S. Civil War to contemporary times. We will focus, in particular, on the various diplomatic crises marking modern relations between France, the larger Francophone world, and the United States. We will also examine the socio-cultural differences characterizing the two countries as well as the perceptions that each has of the other. Pre-requisite MLFR 202 or permission.
