Catalog description
This course introduces students to Chinese culture through a general survey of ancient and modern Chinese history including highlights of Chinese inventions, literature, religions, philosophies, and holidays. Students will gain an understanding of Chinese customs and traditions, study China?s development, and examine its role in the global economy. The class will also experience Tai Chi and hands-on Chinese arts. The course helps the students of different cultural backgrounds to bridge the gap between East and West.
