Catalog description
The Professional Medical Practice Course (PMP) is a longitudinal course that introduces osteopathic medical students to various aspects of professional practice, beyond what is taught in the traditional medical school curriculum. The Professional Medical Practice VI course introduces core concepts in systems-based practice, including patient safety, quality improvement, interprofessional teamwork, and digital health. Students will also begin to develop a community service project as the second phase of the SDOH Capstone Project.
