Catalog description

Pathology is to designed to provide medical students with a thorough comprehension of the fundamental principles underlying the study of disease processes. The course will integrate knowledge of cellular and molecular mechanisms with clinical presentation and diagnostic modalities. Through lectures and case-based learning activities, students will explore the histology methods, histology of organ systems, cellular pathology, inflammation, tissue repair, neoplasia, hemodynamic disorders, shock, thromboembolic disease, environmental pathology, nutritional pathology, ischemia, infarctions, and embolism.
