The Professional Medical Practice Course (PMP) is a longitudinal course that introduces osteopathic medical students to various aspects of professional practice, beyond what is taught in the traditional medical school curriculum. Professional Medical Practice (PMP) II focuses primarily on professionalism and healthcare ethics, with an introduction to personal finances. Upon completion of the course, students will have a better understanding of the attributes and behaviors central to the practice of medical professionalism. Furthermore, students will be able to identify clinical applications of beneficence and nonmaleficence and critically evaluate ethical dilemmas regarding these principles in healthcare settings.
