Catalog description

This course provides the fundamentals of the immune system and the microbes that challenge it. The immunology focus is on innate and adaptive immunity, immune responses to pathogens, and dysregulation of the immune system. The microbiology focus is on the foundational knowledge and framework of the major classes of bacteria, viruses, parasites, and fungi and how they relate to the pathological basis of disease. The structure, replication and management of these microbes are discussed.
