Catalog description

This design course applies the principles of thermodynamics, fluid mechanics, and heat transfer to design, analyze, and optimize systems like power generation, refrigeration, and HVAC. Students will learn how to use software to simulate and optimize system performance for factors like efficiency and cost. The course culminates in a final team project that involves proposing and analyzing a novel thermal system.
