Academic Accommodations for Learners with Special Needs

Catalog description

This course is designed to prepare preservice teachers to identify academic needs, and develop and implement appropriate academic accommodations or modifications for students with diverse learning needs in the areas of literacy across the academic areas in inclusive environments. Students will learn about individualized and small group instructional interventions for diverse learners in general education settings, differentiated instruction, and collaboration and co-teaching between general and special educators to facilitate the success of diverse learners.
