Catalog description

Candidates explore how to establish reciprocal relationships with families and how to effectively utilize their knowledge of community and its resources to meet the needs of the families represented in their classroom. This course is offered in conjunction with the student teaching experience and utilizes the assigned placement to implement the given strategies. Candidates will also work in collaborative groups to assist each other in classroom instructional strategies and work independently on classroom planning and preparation. Reflective practices is a strong component in this course.
