This course engages PreK-4 teaching candidates in an investigation of the content and processes of teaching and learning mathematics in grades PreK-2, including (1) an examination of the role of the teacher, students, curriculum, and content pertaining to the teaching and learning of mathematics in grades PreK-2, and (2) an exploration of diversity, technology, assessment, and leadership in the teaching and learning of mathematics in grades PreK-2
