Formerly: WORK - LIFE LAW SEMINAR Course Requirement: 7-page paper In this course students examine various areas of law that impact work-life balance. Specifically, this course considers how aspects of employment law, family law, education law, bankruptcy law, and tax law affect workers in their quest to successfully combine paid market work with personal obligations, especially family-care work. In addition to studying diverse areas of domestic law, this course includes a comparative law component. Students will learn about policies implemented in other countries to address work-life conflict. Student participation throughout the semester is expected and encouraged. Students? grades will be based on class participation and a 7-page paper.
