PASS/FAIL Enrollment Limit: 24 Course Requirement: exam Fulfills Concentration Elective: International & Comparative Law. Students will: A) Have a basic understanding of Chinese characters; B) Know how to pronounce the Chinese sounds; C) Learn to speak some basic daily conversation Chinese; D) Learn some basic Chinese legal terminology; E) Engage in simple conversations about the study of law; F) Have an overview of the Chinese legal system that includes (1) Traditional Chinese legal system (Confucianism and the core Chinese values), and (2) Current Chinese legal system.
