Elective Course Course Requirement: exam This is a one-credit course that introduces law students and music students to the various business issues that arise during the course of a musician's career. Topics include, but are not limited to issues relating to: starting a music business, protecting musical compositions (e.g., copyright, collaboration, digital streaming), music publishing, dealing with managers and agents, and recording. The course will also introduce students to some of the common contracts used in the music industry.
