Elective Course Online Course Course Requirement: exam This course will introduce students to the veterans benefit claims process, the process through which military veterans (and, at times, their spouses and dependents) secure benefits through the Department of Veterans Affairs. To that end, we will explore the outline of the claims process while simultaneously discussing the policies and social factors that drive the laws impacting veterans. This course is designed to compliment the School of Law?s existing Veteran?s Clinic, which primarily focuses on the representation of veterans in the criminal justice system, in addition to other important matters pertinent to that representation.
