China Study Abroad Participants ONLY Course Requirement: exam This course will introduce students to the basic features of U.S. energy and environmental law, including overarching principles of energy regulation and policy, a survey of the regulatory programs for the various energy sources, an overview of environmental laws and regulations, environmental issues with energy generation and transportation, and enforcement of environmental and energy laws and regulations through the administrative process and the court system. Guest lectures with partner faculty at Southwest University of Political Science and the Law in Chongqing will provide comparative perspective on how energy and environmental laws function in China.
