Catalog description

China Study Abroad Participants ONLY Course Requirement: exam This course will introduce students to the basic features of U.S. intellectual property law, including how one obtains and enforces copyrights, trademarks, trade secrets, and patents. Guest lectures with partner faculty at Southwest University of Political Science and the Law, in Chongqing, and Zhejiang University Guanghua Law School, in Hangzhou, will provide comparative perspective on how intellectual property laws function in China. A technical background is not required to take the course.
